As we often have explained over the past two years, the painting process is extremely complex. We have tried many providers in China, but the results have never convinced us. There are indeed several particularly difficult steps that leave almost no room for error.

First, the chrome plating of the parts. Then the application of a tinted varnish giving the gold appearance. And finally, the masking and tinting of the red and orange parts. All this requires extreme precision in the application of various chemicals, dilution, masking, etc.

We came to the conclusion that we had to go through a renowned craftsman, specialized in the chrome plating of works of art. The price would indeed go up significantly, but we were going to be able to offer you a real luxury product.

Given the difficulty of the project, particularly in its shape - a flat shape would be much easier to chrome and paint than a helmet - it is impossible for us to guarantee an absolutely perfect piece. As a result, some micro defects (less than 3mm and often invisible to the naked eye) may be perceptible depending on the angle of exposure. This will not qualify for an after-sales service. Fear not though, for those who saw the helmet at Japan Expo 2019, know that in terms of quality, what we are currently offering you is on a whole other level.
